Why did you want to do boudoir?
Honestly, life has thrown me some major curveballs over the past couple of years that were completely out of my control and will forever affect me. That said, this boudoir session was something that was and could be entirely in my control by making the decision to final take the plunge into a photoshoot that was very much out of my element but an experience I knew would be worth taking the risk for.
What were your fears about doing a boudoir session?
While I won’t say I’m extremely camera shy, I am not overly comfortable “posing” for a camera so the fear and uncertainty of posing in front of a photographer, while baring it all, definitely posed fear and anxiety in my mind before the shoot.
Once you did your session, how did you feel?
Oh my gosh, I cannot begin to describe how empowered and BEAUTIFUL I felt following my boudoir session. During the shoot, Chrissy made me feel so relaxed and comfortable not only in front of the camera but just around her in general, like we had become fast friends! Walking out of her studio, I couldn’t help myself from beaming smiling because of what an amazing experience I had.

With every outfit change and new set of photographs that Chrissy was taking of me, I increasingly felt more and more confident. Chrissy is your biggest and best hype woman before, during and after your session – and I can say that with 100% certainty. Chrissy maintains the highest level of professionalism while making you feel right at home in your own skin. That is rare to find, and I’m overjoyed that I selected her as my boudoir photographer.
What was the best part of your session?
It’s difficult to pinpoint a certain part of my session being the best, as the whole experience was phenomenal, but if I had to choose, I’d say that when Chrissy poses you in a way and knows she got the best shot possible, she is vocal about it. And when you hear her cheer or exclaim with excitement, you embrace that same excitement and feel sexy as hell!
Where did you get your outfits?
My boudoir session was very editorial style-focused. My outfits were very simple and basic and included a lot of neutral colors.
I wore a pair of Levi’s jeans, two bodysuits from Skims, and a suede jacket from the brand, Blank NYC.
What would tell anyone who was afraid to take the plunge?
If you are considering a boudoir photo shoot, do not hesitate to book with Chrissy. She is a photography genius. I would recommend her to any and everyone looking to build/boost their self-esteem and feel absolutely beautiful.
Lastly, what is your best tip for any woman wanting to book a boudoir session?
Read this quote, and then read it again.
“Courage is not the absence of fear, it is the conquest of it.”
You will likely have fears and anxieties about booking a boudoir session, especially if it is out of your comfort zone. I can attest to this. While it is completely normal to have these fears, having a bit of courage to take a risk and be uncomfortable for even just a few minutes is necessary and completely worth it in conquering these fears.
