Today’s amazing feature is Miss H who had an amazing bridal boudoir session with Chrissy.
Why did you want to do boudoir?
I decided to do a boudoir session as a wedding gift for my fiancé on our wedding night. I have always wanted to do some form of boudoir shoot and thought that making it his wedding present was perfect!
What were your fears about doing a boudoir session?
For most people, being photographed nude and in lingerie can feel intimidating and bold, exposing the most private parts of your body, but the pressure was maximally reduced by Chrissy and her makeup artist Annie. They did an amazing job making me feel comfortable while getting my hair and makeup done and becoming comfortable with the studio’s space. My main worries were that I did not think that I would photograph as well as I envisioned in my head, but Chrissy definitely made that fear obsolete. There is no way for you to look bad in your photos with the gorgeous and perfect poses that Chrissy guides you into.
Once you did your session, how did you feel?
Immediately after my session I felt like I had conquered Rome as well as my childhood shame around nudity. It was very liberating and empowering to do something like this that was so out of my comfort zone.
What was it like working with Chrissy?
Chrissy’s positive energy is contagious and was the best possible start to a session. Upon entering the studio, I was roped into their girl talk like I was one of their besties. A continuous, but not an overwhelming, amount of chit chatting about random subjects and current events with lots of laughs helped me come out of my shell. Meeting new people is a big concern of mine, with a “worry stack” a mile high, but the second I entered the studio they all just went away, truly comforting. She completely took the weight off of my shoulders while shooting too with positive words of encouragement, feedback, and my own personal hype woman!
What was the best part of your session?
Getting to fully let go and not be so rigid, also not having to worry about how to pose. I like being told what to do like a puppet so that way I don’t have to think/overthink. Chrissy’s vision is immaculate and she truly gets all of the angles.
Where did you get your outfits?
I got my black lingerie set form Honey Birdette. The Calvin Klein set was from the Calvin Klein website. The black shawl is from Zara, but it is a few years old, so unsure if it is still up for sale.
What would tell anyone who was afraid to take the plunge?
DO IT. You will not regret it. I did this shoot at 25 years old. I will never be able to see myself like this ever again without this photo shoot, it is truly priceless and also timeless. My soon to be husband and I will be able to review and enjoy these photos for the rest of our lives. And the MOST important part is this, even on day’s where I feel like my body confidence is in the toilet I have this album to look at and remember that I am sexy and I can really do anything (including showing my bare body to the most incredible stranger I’ve ever met)!

Book in advance, and do not worry about ANYTHING.
