Why did you want to do boudoir?

I am on the cusp of 40, and recently divorced. I have made some tough decisions in order to find what makes me happy at this point in life, and it just felt like a great way to celebrate myself and everything I’ve became as a woman. I went through so much shame/guilt during the separation, feeling that I had let people down or disappointed others’ views of me, so I wanted a way to reclaim my authenticity and remind myself that the only one who controls my life is me.

What were your fears about doing a boudoir session?

I think for me it was the fear of not loving the final product. I tend to be very open and trusting, and I was less conscious of my body and more of “what if I hate the photos after.” And I had NOTHING to worry about because the end results were BEYOND my hopes.

Once you did your session, how did you feel?

I felt sexy, confident, and SO glad I had done it. Not only was it actually very fun, I feel like it made me appreciate my body and my sense of adventure even more!

What was it like working with Chrissy?

Omg, ok. I had no idea what to expect, I’m not always super sociable, but Chrissy made is so much FUN! She made me feel relaxed, she was the ultimate hype woman, and she also listened if there was a pose I wanted (or didn’t want!) and was just so professional. I walked out of there feeling like a supermodel.

What was the best part of your session?

All of it? I mean getting hair and makeup done with Amy was super fun, and then the session itself was a blast. Chrissy was easy to talk to, and while I don’t usually enjoy small talk, I found that we just naturally started conversing, to the point where we were swapping stories like we’d met previously. But more than anything, just the absolute confidence boost I left with.

Where did you get your outfits?

Amazon and my closet. I actually think I “overplanned” my outfits to an extent, and I found that Chrissy was really direct and helpful in helping me sort of “reign in” my vision in a way that was spot on. If ever there was a time to “trust the expert” – this is it!

What would tell anyone who was afraid to take the plunge?

If you are considering a boudoir photo shoot, do not hesitate to book with Chrissy. She is a photography genius. I would recommend her to any and everyone looking to build/boost their self-esteem and feel absolutely beautiful.

Lastly, what is your best tip for any woman wanting to book a boudoir session?

Listen to the professional!! And trust the process…. Chrissy has proven to me she knows what she’s doing, so the subtle movement shifts, the outfit suggestions, the breathing exercises…. Listen, because she is going to walk you through an amazing experience.
