HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR HOUSTON, TX COUPLES BOUDOIR SESSION
We know there is a lack of photographers in the Houston area who do couples boudoir. Over the years we have received so many phone calls and inquiries as well as requests….well, we listened and now we are introducing Couples Boudoir Sessions and have created this prep guide to help you prepare for your Houston, TX Couples Boudoir Session.
FIRST THING’S FIRST: HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED FOR YOUR COUPLES BOUDOIR SESSION?
This is the most important step to start with. Knowing how you want to be photographed for your couples boudoir session at our Houston boudoir studio will help you set a vision, mood, and vibe for your session. Do you want a classy and dressy session? Do you want a sultry and classic boudoir vibe? Do you want a comfy cozy session? Are you and your partner fitness buffs and want to incorporate your athleticism in your session? Knowing your vision will help you shop and style yourself for your couple’s boudoir session.
PREP FOR HIM
Your boudoir session will start with you and your partner completely dressed so when it comes to styling for your boudoir session, you’ll need to shop or gather wardrobe you already have for your outerwear and your underwear.
OUTERWEAR
CLASSY & DRESSY
For a classy and dressy themed boudoir session, consider styling with a tuxedo or a suit. You’ll want to bring a complete wardrobe for this which includes: suit jacket, suit pants, dress shirt, cufflinks, tie or bowtie, dress socks, dress shoes.
CLASSIC BOUDOIR
For a classic boudoir session consider a tuxedo, suit, or business casual dress attire such as slacks and a button down or even pullover sweater.
COZY & COMFY
For a comfy and cozy themed boudoir session, consider jeans and a t-shirt or sweats (dark grey or light grey sweats photograph best for boudoir).
SPORTY & ATHLETIC
For a sporty and athletic themed boudoir session, consider sweats and a t-shirt (dark grey or light grey photograph best for boudoir) or workout clothes…
UNDERWEAR
No matter what theme you go with, the best under garments to wear are going to be briefs or boxer briefs that are white, grey, or black. Calvin Klien’s are perfect for cozy or athletic looks. You can even rock a speedo or thong for classic boudoir…
PREP TIMELINE FOR HIM
AS SOON AS YOU BOOK – Gather you wardrobe and ensure that everything fits. Get anything that needs to be altered or tailored to the tailor. Start a teeth whiting regimen, Crest White Strips work fast.
ONE WEEK BEFORE BOUDOIR – Get your hair cut, if you wax, do all waxing one week before so any redness or irritation has subsided by your session day.
TWO DAYS BEFORE BOUDOIR – Take your suit, tux, or any dressy attire to the dry cleaner so it’s freshly pressed and ready to photograph flawlessly. You do not want to show up with wrinkled clothing – we can’t photoshop wrinkles out of your clothes.
THE DAY OF – Shower and shave so you’re fresh and clean for the camera!

FEMME & SEXY
For a comfy and cozy themed boudoir session, consider the same as classy and dressy, or classic boudoir, or style yourself with a cardigan over lacy or soft lingerie.
COZY & COMFY
For a comfy and cozy themed boudoir session, consider jeans and a t-shirt, a white sleep shirt (use ours), an oversized sweater.
SPORTY & ATHLETIC
For a sporty and athletic themed boudoir session, consider workout clothes.
UNDERWEAR
