This is a guide for those who dare to go bare…or are just curious….

Why go nude?

Our favorite type of sessions are the ones where the client goes completely nude. It really is the most freeing experience. When you bare it all for your boudoir session, your images are stunning and breath taking. In fact, a lot of clients will go nude for one set and guess what…they want all the images from their nude set, so why not just go nude the whole time? The way we photograph nudes are timeless, classy, and just beautiful and we wish more clients would have the courage to do it but we understand it is not for all who do boudoir. Boudoir is usually a once in a life time experience for most clients so why not go all the way?

Implied Nude…What Is That?

Implied nudes are where you are nude but we strategically cover your private areas such as the vaginal area, nipples, and areola with an object, your arms, hands, and legs, or a sheet so that you are essentially naked, but covered.

Overcoming Your Fear of Going Nude.

We get it, most people guard their modesty. We have been taught since we were children that our bodies and our nudity is shameful, something we should cover up and never reveal. While society may not have advanced, we have. We don’t believe the human body is shameful, we don’t believe sexuality is shameful, and we don’t think anyone should be embarrassed about how their body looks.

When going nude we tend to really clam up and fear we will be judged, ridiculed, shamed but that is simply not so in a boudoir portrait studio. Your photographer is not there to judge you but to encourage you to be comfortable in your skin and honestly, as a boudoir photographer, the last thing on my mind is your naked body as I am too busy stressing over how the light is going to look on you, do I have you posed in flattering position that you are gonna love, and dang it, that piece of hair on your head just isn’t laying down right, screw it, I’ll fix it later in photoshop.

So how do you overcome your fear of going nude for your boudoir session? Realize that you have hired a professional photographer who is experienced and for your photographer this is the umpteenth time they’ve had a nude subject in front of them. If you need reassurance, bring your best female friend with you for moral support. Know that you have control over what happens to you at all times during your session. You do not have to do anything you do not want to do ever this includes; a pose, a direction, or even going nude.

I promise you this, every client who has gone nude in our studio has trembled before and walked out grinning ear to ear exclaiming how amazing their session was and it was nothing they thought or worried it would be.

What We Won’t Do

When it comes to our studio we do not photograph vaginal spreads, meaning we will not photograph your vaginal area with spread legs, or unclose. This is a firm studio policy. We do not photograph sexual acts. We do not photograph kink, erotica, BDSM, shabari, etc…we keep our nudes classy and tasteful.

What to Expect When Going Nude for Boudoir with us:

  • You have full control over what is happening to you and around you. Period.
  • You can wear a robe around until the camera comes up. You don’t have to walk around nude, you can stay robed until it’s time to photograph.
  • We treat you just as if you were wearing clothes. Nudity doesn’t phase us…at all.
  • We constantly check to ensure you are comfortable and your session is going smooth. We do this regardless if a client is being photographed nude or not.
  • You can bring a female friend if it will help ease your nerves.
  • When your session is over you’re gonna feel like a bad ass!!!

Once you book a session with us, you will be able to preview nude galleries. We have chosen not to show nudity on our website to the public at this time.
